Choose Shop FullWhich platform?
We pick the simplest one that works
We don’t push one platform for everyone. This is how we decide.
| Payment links | Shopify | Squarespace Commerce | WooCommerce | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Vouchers, deposits, a few items | Most small shops | Shops that are mainly a portfolio | Unusual needs on WordPress |
| Platform cost | No monthly fee | Paid plan, confirmed in your quote | Monthly plan, check current price | Free plugin, plus hosting and paid add-ons |
| Card fees (online) | A small % per sale | Payment fee per sale, confirmed in your quote | Payment provider’s fee | Payment provider’s fee |
| Upkeep | Very low | Low. Security and hosting handled | Low | Higher. Plugins need regular updates |
| Edit from your phone | Yes | Yes, good app | Yes | Possible, fiddly |
| Sell in person too | With a card reader | Yes, stock stays in sync | Limited | With extra plugins |
| We recommend it when | You sell under 10 things | You want a real shop that’s easy to run | You already use Squarespace | You need something Shopify can’t do |
Platform and card-processing fees are separate from our prices. We confirm the provider’s current costs in your written quote.

Costs to know
What you pay other companies
Every shop has a few running costs that go to the platform, not to us. You pay these directly, so there’s no mark-up and you stay in control.
We keep apps to a minimum and always ask before adding one that costs money.
Questions
Shop questions
Can I add products myself?
Yes. Shopify has a good phone app, and we show you how in the training call. Or send us photos and prices and we’ll add them.
Who owns the shop?
You do. The shop account, domain, products and customer list are all in your name.
Can I sell on Etsy or Amazon as well?
Often, yes, through Shopify’s sales channels and apps. We check what fits your products before setting anything up.
Do you handle VAT?
We set up tax settings in your shop. Your accountant should confirm whether you need to be VAT registered and which rates apply.
What about returns and delivery policies?
We set up clear policy pages from standard templates, which you can adjust. For anything unusual, check with a solicitor.
